Obituary
Terry Lee Ratliff, 64, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the evening of Thursday August 9, 2018 at 11:01 pm surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on August 20, 1953 to Leiva "Lee" and Harold "Slim" Ratliff in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Terry attended Edison High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He married Deborah Shaffer in 1972 the mother of his two children Jason and Kristin.
Terry loved working outdoors in nature and was a retired Arborist. He was a disable Veteran who served in the Army and an active member of the United Methodist Church. He loved music, fishing, hockey and was an avid collector of knives, you could find him many times awake at 3am watching the knife show. He loved dogs especially Abby and Spanky but his true passion was his family. He loved coaching his grandsons during football season and never missed a practice or game in 10 years. Terry was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family or friends and was the first one to stand up for you when the odds were stacked against you, even if you were wrong just so you wouldn't have to stand alone. Terry had a way of making everyone feel loved and accepted and most of all safe and protected.
Terry was preceded in death by his brother Norman Ratliff, parents Harold and Leiva Ratliff, and wife Debbie.
Terry is survived by his son Jason Hall and wife Tiffany and their two children Dillon and Ethan of Bixby OK, and daughter Kristin Birdsong and husband William and their five children, Allison Birdsong, Adrian and Kyle Hutchison, Tyler Birdsong, Braden Birdsong, Nicholas Birdsong, and four great grandchildren Dagan Birdsong, Emma Mitchem, Austin Hall and Adalynn Birdsong. Terry is also survived by his loving brother Bob Ratliff and wife Connie of Tulsa, OK, and Sister Marla Jo Ratliff-Bond of Jenks, OK.
Terry will always be remembered as a loving Son, Father, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, Friend and most of all a Loving Papa. We will all miss him dearly.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Moore's Southlawn. Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
