Thelma Clingings, 90, Sand Springs resident, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016. She was born April 26, 1926 to Velvie and Mac Forrest in Coweta, OK. Thelma was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Sand Springs. She enjoyed fishing, garage sales and having her children around. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Omar Murphy, William Barbour, Ellis Clingings and Sam Garrison; her son, Omar Leroy Murphy; brothers, Lee Forrest and Michael Forrest; her sisters, Wilma Barbour and Betty Carr. Thelma is survived by her sons, William Barbour and Larry Barbour, both of Sand Springs; daughters, Terri Fitzgerald and her husband, Jerry of Oklahoma City; June Butcher and her husband, Albert of Cleveland, OK; Carol Blaylock and her husband, Charles of Sand Springs; seven grandchildren; her sisters, Margie Bettis of Tulsa, Velma Dobbs and her husband Ron of Sand Springs. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 2, 2016 at Floral Haven Cemetery. Service entrusted to Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, Tulsa, OK. 918-622-1155.
