Obituary
Thelma Ruby Nourse, 69 of 528 E. 49th Pl. North, Tulsa, OK, passed away Monday, October 10, 1978 in Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital from a massive heart attack. She was born on September 15, 1909 to Audley Paul DeFriese and Mary E. Givens DeFriese in Coweta, OK. Thelma moved to Tulsa 34 years ago. She was a retired, licensed practical nurse and was among the first group of waivered, licensed practical nurses in Tulsa, OK. Mrs. Nourse worked as a nurse at Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital her whole medical career, before retiring in 1970.
She is survived by her husband, Tullie Nourse of the home; 4 sons: Paul F. and Billie E. Nourse, both of Bristow, OK, Claude Nourse of Okmulgee, OK, and Perry Nourse of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Sharon Daniels of Tulsa, OK; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service is at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 1978 at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, with Interment after at Green Hill Cemetery in Sapulpa, OK.
