Obituary

Thelma Ethel "Toots" Rollins was born in Lookeba, Oklahoma. Though named after family members, she was lovingly called "Toots" after her father insisted he would call her "Tootsie," a name that fit her perfectly throughout her entire life.
Toots grew up working alongside her family in their diner in Lookeba and later in their bakery in Hinton, Oklahoma. She met her husband, Bill, while working at the bakery. They lived in El Reno where together they built a beautiful family. Together, Toots and Bill shared a joy for living life to the fullest, spending their time waterskiing, square dancing, and riding motorcycles. Toots expressed her creativity through sewing, creating beautiful floral arrangements, and later discovering a passion for painting. She filled her home and her community with beauty through her art. She and Bill also found lasting community through their involvement in the American Legion, another meaningful part of the life they built together.
The greatest joy of Toots' life was her family. She was deeply loved by her three children, Sherry, Mike, and Duane, and was a constant source of love and comfort in the lives of her five grandchildren. She helped shape their childhoods, keeping her grandchildren each summer and filling those days with milkshakes, swimming lessons, and unforgettable adventures. Her influence and devotion extended across generations and continues through her ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Toots was the center of every room she entered and was adored by all who knew her. Her life was full of love, and her legacy will live on through the many generations who were blessed to call mom or grandma.
She is survived by her daughter Sherry and son Duane; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill and her son Mike, whom she now joyfully joins in Heaven.
