Obituary

Theodora Ann Boler, known lovingly to those closest to her as "Teddy," passed away on May 20, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 90 years old. Born on August 24, 1935, in Norman, Oklahoma, to the late Theodore and Mary Cordell, Teddy lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep devotion, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

Teddy married Milton E. Boler, and together they built a life that took them across the Southwest, from New Mexico to Texas, Colorado, and eventually back to Oklahoma. She embraced each move with grace and resilience, creating a warm, nurturing home wherever the family landed. A proud homemaker during her children's growing-up years, Teddy was an excellent cook who made sure her family always felt care for and loved. She later brought that same caring spirit into the workforce, spending many years in retail before finding her calling in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where she could tend to others the way she had always tended to her own family.

Teddy was a woman of many interests. In her younger years, she enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing bridge. As time went on, she turned her attention to gardening and reading, and she never missed an episode of The Young and the Restless. She had a remarkable ability to adjust and persevere in the face of life's challenges, a quality she passed on to her children. She lived independently right up until the very end of her life, a testament to her determined spirit.

For many years, Teddy was a faithful member of St. Dunstan Church in Tulsa, where she volunteered generously, arranging flowers, serving on the Altar Guild, and helping with after-service receptions. Her faith was a steady anchor throughout her life, and she carried it with the same quiet dignity that marked everything that she did. She now rests in the arms of her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her husband Milton E. Boler; her son John M. Boler; her parents Theodore and Mary Cordell; and her brother Howard Cordell. She is survived by her son Bryan D. Boler (wife Rhonda); her daughter Jana B. Schejbal (husband Joe); and her beloved grandchildren Landin (wife Kyra), Hayden, Taylor, and Matthew and two spirited great grandchildren Isabella and Ivy.

The graveside service will be held May 26, 2026, at 1pm at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
