Thomas Wesley Adams, known as Rusty, was born on April 12, 1939 to Rubie Adams and Elsie May Adams (Stokes) in Bryan, Texas. He graduated from Hearn, Texas and went on to higher education at Baylor University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. He then joined the US Air Force Reserves and served as a medical corpsman. He retired from State Farm Insurance after 33 years of service as a Claims Representative.
In the fall, on Saturdays, you would find Rusty in his favorite chair in front of the television watching his favorite Texas football team. His love of the water would lead him to Grand Lake in the summer weekends. Cruising on his Bayliner with friends. His favorite place to vacation was South Padre Island. After retirement he spent 5 months out of the year there. He enjoyed going across the border into Progresso and visiting with the locals. He loved music and played the trumpet in high school, and was even in a little dance band then.
He is survived by: his wife, Linda, of 23 years; son, Morgan Britton Adams; two step daughters, Milisa Teat and Susan Hammer; 3 step grandchildren; and 5 step great grandchildren. Of course, we can't forget who will miss him the most, his two dogs, Casey and Sasha.
