Thomas Harlow Hathaway
September 15, 1939 - January 31, 2021
The world has lost an exemplary citizen, a devoted Christian man, and close friend to all who knew him, whether acquaintance, coworker, or family. His unexpected passing was on Sunday January 31, 2021 in his home peacefully tucked in his bed.
Thomas Harlow Hathaway was a Tulsa born son of Harlow and Roshada Hathaway. He completed his education, served his country honorably in the military, and enjoyed a life-long successful career in sales. He lived in many different states over his life but his favorites were Oklahoma, where he was raised and later in life returned, and Arizona, where he raised his children.
Tom loved and admired people. No matter their walk of life, he saw the wonder and amazement of all the Lord's creation in them. Ask anyone who knew him, and they will say that he was a gracious gentleman. These qualities made him successful in both his private life and his career. He was always dedicated to his family and always let his children know they were loved infinitum.
Everyone who ever met him will tell you there was no finer person to know. His kindness, thoughtful consideration, humility, generosity, loving patience and humor will last forever in our memories.
Tom is survived by his brother, Richard Hathaway, four proud children, Steven, Tim, Amy, and Tommy, six grandchildren, scores of family members, and hundreds of friends, who will all cherish their time and moments with Tom. He will be sorely missed.
His remains will be buried at Chelsea Cemetery at the Kouri family plot.
Memorial Service: 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
