Thomas "Tom" Lee Hull of Tulsa, OK passed away at the age 80, at Porta Caeli House on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Survived by his nephew, Raymond Hull and niece, Dawn Lee Gutierrez and many friends he has made throughout his life.
Tom was a proud veteran of the US Navy where he served on the USS Blue DD-744 where his tour included the South Pacific. Tom was an active beer can and breweriana collector when he joined BCCA in 1977. His collecting specialties were foreign and US beer cans, breweriana from Progress Brewery (Oklahoma) and the Hull Brewery (Connecticut). Tom was honored with the Denver Wright, Jr. Hall of Fame Award in 2009; and Tom Hicks Presidential Award in 2009. Tom worked with Kevin Burrus as editors of the BCCA's United States Beer Can Volume II Tab Top Beer Book. He also was an avid collector of books and videos of military history and naval ships.
Tom was the best Cat Dad and had 12 cats that he absolutely loved and adored and is survived by Callie/Jr., Pearl, and Ollie. Tom served his local community by profession as a Pharmacists for Med-X #5, Walgreens, Drug Warehouse, and retired from Saffa Compounding Pharmacy in 2012.
An informal visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 from 8am - 8pm at the Moore Funeral Home - South Lawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st St, Tulsa, OK 74145. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 10:00am Moore Funeral Home - South Lawn Chapel and will follow with a grave side service at 12:30pm at the Ramona Cemetery 34120 N3980 Rd, Ramona, OK 74061 where he will be given military honors. There will be a memory open forum at the cemetery pavilion where pizza will be served and a beer toast will be made in honor of the life and memory of Thomas "Tom" L. Hull.
