Obituary

Thomas Eugene Patterson, 78, born to Clarence and Lolla Eilene (Seagrove) Patterson on October 21, 1946, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Thomas was a Vietnam veteran with the First Battalion Ninth Marines walking dead and was the only original survivor out of his platoon. He had a bachelor's degree in arts. "Always tell the Truth". Thomas was a painter for 60 years of his life and was probably one of the best in Tulsa in the 70's and 80's. He loved music and animals with unmatched passion. Thomas' hobbies included, traveling, racing and showing St. Bernard's. One of his favorite songs was Neil Young's "Heart of Gold". "Always tell the Truth"

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Monroe.

Thomas leaves behind son: Chance Patterson; daughter: Ashley Patterson; grandsons: Michael and Jason; niece: Rhonda; and nephew: Patrick.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Graveside service will be 12:30 p.m., Monday, July 14th at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK.
