Obituary

With great Joy we celebrate the life of Timothy Charles Heinritz.

Tim was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on March 5th, 1951. His parents, Charlice and Cletus Heinritz were also born and raised here.

He is proceeded in death by His father Cletus and brother Tom. He is survived by his children --daughter Julie Heinritz-Abbott, (husband Shane Abbott), son Jason Heinritz, son James Heinritz and grandchildren Katelyn, Devin, and Alyssa. He is also survived by --mother Charlcie, sister Rebecca Havil, (husband Darryl Havil), nieces Tara Heinritz, Kayla Holland, and Alaina Holland. He is also survived by his ex-wife Claudia Heinritz-Gezella, (husband Dan Gezella), ex sister-in-law Geddma Fernandez, And 67 years worth incredible friends he considered family. To say the least, he was well liked.

Without God Tim was ---in his own words, "A sinner, I mean evil"!
Accepting Jesus into his life grew into a strong sought-after relationship with God. By studying the scripture, The Lord diligently worked on Tim's heart through the course of his life. He was baptized, confirmed, married, and will rest with his father and brother at Grace Lutheran Church.

Tim graduated from Tulsa University with a Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Engineering. Tim saw the world throughout his career in oil and gas. Singapore, Bogota, Myanmar, and Caracas, were just some of his pit-stops.

Tim was a self proclaimed Alcoholic. In 1981 he first attended Alcoholics Anonymous. Looking to control his blackouts, he soon learned AA is not a half-way-in program. The mission is to save lives. Working the steps, surrendering to a higher power, and going to meetings, saved Tim's life more than once.

Tim loved quiet-time with God. He loved being a father and gave his whole heart freely to his 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Tim was an avid golfer. Motorcycles were a life-long affair
With a taste for adventure, he would go boating or scuba diving in Florida. Gardening was how he'd meditate and decompress. He was also especially fond of hummingbirds.

Tim passed away at home where he felt most comfortable. Memorial service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to AA. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
