Obituary

Tobey was born in Muskogee, OK to Connie Temple Sells and Roy Sells on January 10, 1973. When her mother remarried her name changed to Tobey Dawn Thomson. She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on March 31, 2021

She attended school in Muskogee and Broken Arrow and has retained several of her childhood friendships. After high school Tobey worked in sales and traveled the United States. She returned to Tulsa and began selling cars at a local auto dealership. There she met William Inge and they were married in 1994. They moved to the Keystone Lake area for the fishing and later moved to Depew, OK. Their only son, MIchael, was born on June 21, 1995 and was her pride and joy. She home-schooled him until his junior year when he began attending high school in Depew, OK where he graduated with state and national honors. Tobey and Michael took several ocean cruises together and they loved to fish. One of Michael's first words was flop flop because that is what the fish did. She bought Michael his first guitar at a young age and she enjoyed listening to her son learn to play music. She was fond of sitting around the camp fire on the farm in Depew watching the cows and enjoying her Great Pyrenees dogs. Tobey and William went their separate ways in 2014 and Tobey moved back to Tulsa.

When Michael married Kimberly, Tobey not only got a daughter-in-law but two grandsons. When her third grandson, Ezeekial, was born it was another joyous day. Her dream was to be able to teach all of them the joy of fishing. She could also see in her dreams the boys playing music with their father, Michael.

She loved camping and sitting around the campfire while people played music. Especially good were the times that Michael was able to sit in on the jams. She started going to music festivals in Kansas, Colorado and OK. She went with Connie and Steve to a few music festivals in their travel trailer and then later purchased her own. She would call Connie and tell her where she was going, then hook up her trailer and off she went. It was an extra joy when there was a full moon because she enjoyed dancing under the full moon and stars. She had a fire pit at home where friends could gather and play music. If she could not have live music the radio would do. She loved music in any form. Tobey never met a stranger and gave her heart and soul to everyone throughout her life.

Tobey met and began a relationship with Bill Young. One of their favorite things to do was for Bill to practice hitting golf balls and Tobey would go fishing on a nearby pond at the driving range.

Her life was emotionally hard from having heart surgeries up to the age of 12 that changed her life forever. God gave her 36 years after the final surgery to bless the world and all that knew her. Tobey has now joined her loved ones that departed life before her. As we say goodbye to her here on earth we know she is in her forever home with no pain or fears and is waiting for us to meet again.

She is survived by her son Michael Inge and his wife Kimberly Ann and their three sons Jonathan, Neal and Ezeekial of Oklahoma City.
