Tobias DeVries, Jr., 74, of Claremore, OK, passed away Monday, December 19, 1977, in Tulsa, OK. He was born on Tuesday, March 31, 1903, in Reinbeck, IA to Tobias DeVries, Sr. and Elizabeth (Immermann) DeVries. He was a fire-up man with McNamara Tank Company. He is survived by his wife, Lena (Ubban) DeVries; son, Roy E. DeVries of Claremore, OK; 4 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jacobus and Martin DeVries, both of Los Angeles, CA; 2 sisters, Marie Malzahn of San Diego, CA, and Henrietta Schurkey of Debuque, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frederick DeVries; and 4 sisters, Ella Stitler, Margaret Mattke, Hiska Volberding, and Elizabeth Garmatz.
