Toby Harriell Scrivner, 59, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on September 14, 2026.

Born in Oklahoma City and raised in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Toby lived a remarkable life defined by family, service, hard work, adventure, friendship, laughter, and an unwavering determination to make the most of every moment.

Toby was immensely proud of his service in the United States Navy. His military service remained an important part of who he was throughout his life, and he carried with him a deep sense of pride in having served his country.

Following his military service, Toby attended the University of Central Oklahoma, earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He went on to build an exceptional career and became a nationally respected leader in healthcare commercial real estate.

Toby joined Stan Johnson Company in 2006, where he established the company's first team devoted exclusively to the sale of healthcare investment properties and later became a partner in the firm. Following Stan Johnson Company's integration with Northmarq, Toby served as Senior Vice President and Director of Northmarq's National Healthcare Group.

Throughout his career, Toby became known for his expertise in healthcare facilities, investment properties, development, and commercial real estate. His team completed hundreds of transactions representing well over a billion dollars in healthcare real estate. In 2025, his accomplishments and influence within the industry were nationally recognized when he was named a GlobeSt. Healthcare Influencer.

While his professional accomplishments were significant, they tell only part of Toby's story.

Toby was, quite simply, one of the funniest people you could ever meet.

He had an incredible sense of humor and an effortless ability to make people laugh. Whether it was a perfectly timed comment, an outrageous story, some harmless mischief, or simply Toby being Toby, laughter was rarely far behind. His quick wit, larger-than-life personality, and ability to find humor in almost any situation made him unforgettable.

If Toby was in the room, you generally knew it-and chances were good that before long, you were laughing.

Toby was also an adventurer at heart. He loved to travel, explore new places, take on new challenges, and collect experiences rather than simply watch life pass by. His travels took him around the world, including a recent adventure to Mount Everest-a fitting destination for a man who was never particularly interested in doing things halfway.

He loved anything with two wheels. Whether biking, cycling, or riding, Toby enjoyed the freedom of the open road, the adventure of the journey, and discovering what might be waiting around the next bend.

For Toby, the journey mattered. He embraced the places he went, the people he met, and the experiences along the way.

Behind the successful businessman, Navy veteran, world traveler, adventurer, storyteller, and comedian was something even more important: Toby loved deeply.

He was the proud father of two sons, Zachary and Dillion. The loss of his son Dillion was a profound heartbreak that remained forever woven into Toby's life. Dillion will always be a cherished part of Toby's story.

Toby shared his life with his girlfriend, Dannelle Newnam, whom he loved deeply. Their years together were filled with laughter, adventure, family, and countless shared experiences. Together, they embraced both the adventures Toby loved and the everyday moments they treasured.

Later in life, Toby had the gift of reconnecting with his birth family-his mother, Carol Niceley, and his brother, Todd Henderson. That reunion became a meaningful part of his life and brought new family connections and memories that he treasured.

Toby is survived by his son, Zachary; his mother, Carol Niceley; his sister, Tammy Westermier; his brother, Todd Henderson; his girlfriend, Dannelle Newnam; Zachary's mother, Kim Scrivner; and extended family, friends, colleagues, fellow veterans, traveling companions, and countless others whose lives were touched by his.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Dillion Scrivner; his parents, Wendell Scrivner and Judy Scrivner; and his niece, Mandy Westermier.

Toby's impact cannot be measured simply by the years he was here.

It can be measured in the places he traveled, the adventures he pursued, the career he built, the country he proudly served, the people he loved, the friendships he formed, and perhaps most appropriately, by the enormous amount of laughter he left behind.

There will be stories about Toby told for years to come. Some will be touching. Some will probably get better with each telling. And knowing Toby, more than a few probably shouldn't be printed in an obituary.

That seems fitting.

He served his country with pride.

He built a remarkable career.

He traveled the world.

He loved his family.

He endured profound loss and continued forward.

He sought adventure.

He made people laugh.

And above all, he made an impact.

For Toby, the journey was never meant to be watched from the sidelines.

It was meant to be embraced-and Toby embraced it.
