Tommie L. Bernard was born January 9, 1944 in Sioux City, IA. She passed from this life on February 6, 2023 at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ in the presence of God's Angels and those loved ones who had preceded her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lydia Lowrey and her infant brother Jimmy Ray Lowrey. She is survived by one sister, Timmie Lowrey and one brother, Paul Lowrey, Jr; her loving former husband Jim Bernard, DO who remained her friend and loved her throughout the remainder of her life. She is also survived by one niece and three nephews.

Tommie loved the Lord with all her heart and followed him at several Assembly of God and non-denominational churches over the course of her life.

Tommie became a registered nurse at St. John's School of Nursing in 1965. And served her profession faithfully until her retirement and hung up her nursing license at the age of 62 in 2005.

Her passion was being with her family and she cherished their time together. She also loved animals of any kind. Over Tommie's lifetime, she and her sister Timmie served a varied "clientele" that congregated regularly each day and evening on the patio. Clientele members included cats, possums, racoons and birds.

Viewing will be on Monday, February 13 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st St. Tulsa. A private interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
