He was a 1975 graduate of Morton High School and went on to study Biology at Northeastern State University. In Tommy's later years, he returned to his love of raising cattle and bucking bulls on McClintock Ranch.
Tommy earned the nickname "Bear" not only because of his large stature, but because of his booming voice and robust personality. Anyone who was blessed to be in his presence would tell you that he had a heart of gold, was always the life of the party, and would give the shirt off of his back to a friend in need.
