Travis James Mills of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 69, following a year of treatment for COPD and cryptogenic organizing pneumonia.

Travis was born in Shreveport, LA, in 1957 to the late Travis Wayne Mills and Anita Coats Mills. Travis was educated at Mandeville High School in Mandeville, LA; Peachtree High School in Dunwoody, GA; and Berry College in Rome, GA, where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. He was an avid runner, participating in track and cross country during both high school and college. After graduation, he began a first career at Georgia Pacific in Atlanta, GA, followed by a second career in long-distance and specialized trucking based in Broken Arrow, OK.

He is survived by his son Travis Robert Duffley of New York, NY; brother Thomas Scott Mills, Sr. of Sandy Springs, GA; nephews Thomas Scott Mills, Jr. (Olivia Dorman Mills) of Atlanta, GA, and James Clark Mills (Ashley Newbern) of Kennesaw, GA; and great nieces Ruby Jane Mills of Kennesaw, GA, and Madi Mae Mills of Atlanta, GA.

Travis' friends and family will remember his passion for local history, his animated storytelling, and his enduring love of the outdoors. Travis' ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony at the family cemetery in Johnson County, AR.
