Treva Lynn Henry passed peacefully away at home in her sleep November 8, 2023. Born September 17, 1926 in St. Louis, OK she was 97 years old. She earned her Bachelor of Science of Home Economics from the University of Oklahoma in 1947 followed by her Master of Home Economics degree, also at the University of Oklahoma in 1965. Treva was a long-time resident of Tulsa, OK with her late husband, Dewitt Clinton Henry Jr., married December 14, 1947. As a military spouse she lived around the world before settling in Tulsa where she retired as an educator for the Tulsa Public Schools after 20 years. The couple were longstanding members of the congregation at Kirk of The Hills Presbyterian Church for 57 years. Treva treasured time with her family and enjoyed travel, particularly Paris.
Treva is survived by her three daughters, Lynda Watson and husband David of Ramona, CA, Barbara Clark and husband Eric of Tulsa, OK, and Tracey Hawkins and husband Keith of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren, Michelle Gagnard and husband Brent, Jeff Clark and wife Melinda, Kelli Dobbs and husband Josh, Amanda Hawkins, Sarah Hawkins, and Casey Hawkins; and seven great-grandchildren, Kiley Gagnard, Ashlyn Gagnard, Brandon Gagnard, Katelyn Clark, Gabe Dobbs, Charlotte Dobbs, and Olivia Dobbs. She was preceded in death by her parents David Floyd Lynn and Amanda Viola (Garrett) Lynn, sister Laverta Moore, husband Clinton as well her favorite pet, Fred Dog.
Visitation will be at Moore Funeral Home, Southlawn Chapel November 13th from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Moore's Southlawn Chapel on Tuesday November 14th at 2 pm. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at a graveside service at 3 pm. Open reception immediately following at the Family Center at Moore's Southlawn Chapel.
