Obituary

Truman C. Hale "Bud" was born to Norman and Claudia Hale on February 6, 1946 in Bradford, Arkansas. He passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife Rebekah Hale and 4 children: Stephanie and Stephen Reinhart of Stuttgart, AR, John and JoBeth Hale of Scott, AR, Mandi and Stephen Dixon of Tulsa, OK, Lindsey and Bill Santee of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren Gavin DeLoache, Emily Fleming, James Hale, Jack Hale, Victoria Hale, Mia Dixon, Kate Dixon, Robert Santee, Tanner Santee, Wade Santee, Wyatt Santee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He doted upon and was adored by his 4 sisters Auneen, Shirley, Camilla and Jeanie.

Bud was a devout Christian and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Ablaze Church in Broken Arrow, OK.

He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and was an avid Razorback fan. He left U of A and enlisted into the Marine Corps where he served in Vietnam. He was awarded the purple heart during his service.

Up on his return to the states, he became a police officer in Little Rock, AR. After his career with the police department, he began a successful career in the brokerage business in Arkansas, Tennessee, Kansas and Oklahoma. He retired as President of Reliance Wine & Spirits in Tulsa, OK in 2005.

He was an active member of the Rotary Club of Tulsa, and an ordained Lutheran Elder.

He was proud to have traveled to all 50 states and all 7 continents in his lifetime. Some of his favorite destinations included Las Vegas (especially with his wife and sister), New Orleans, Tahoe, and Italy which was the "Genesis" of many legendary stories.

Bud was an incredible, loving and supportive Papa to his 11 grandchildren. There was nothing he wouldn't do for them or his beloved dogs.

Services will be held Saturday, September 10, at 2:00 P.M. at Ablaze Church in Broken Arrow/Tulsa 4901 South 177th East Ave, Tulsa, OK (North of 51st Street on Lynn Lane).
