Ulic Edgar Smith, known to many as (Smitty), passed away Wednesday Jan 29, 2020 at home peacefully in Artesia, NM. He was 82 years young when he passed. He just celebrated his 82nd birthday on Dec 31, 2019.

He worked all of his life as a Safeway Manager and a Automobile Paint Salesman. He began his journey in 1989 with O.B. Davis Paint and Auto; he excelled in that industry. He loved what he did and he was always first and foremost customer oriented. He drove to Bartlesville, OK, 2-3 times a week just to make sure they were taken care of. In his later years he went to work for English Color and Supply in Tulsa OK. His work name was "Smitty" and everyone knew "Smitty" never met a stranger. He had a heart as big as the sky and would never say no to anyone that needed a helping hand.

Ulic and Linda were married in Bartlesville, OK on October 5, 1979. He and Linda have lived in Tulsa, OK, Arizona and currently in Artesia, NM. They had just celebrated their 40th year together as a married couple. They spent their honeymoon at the Tulsa State Fair entertaining their children. Ulic has 3 biological children: Kyle, Michael and Tracy Leanne, and he adopted a baby girl, Wendi Lynn Best Smith Manor, from Ft. Smith Arkansas. Wendi gave us 3 beautiful grandchildren Nicole Dawn Manor, Micheal Dale and Sabrina Lynn Manor. We lost our grandson Micheal in an accidental drowning, at the age of 2 yrs and 10 months old. Micheal, you and grandpa are up in heaven getting reacquainted and rejoicing. His other children he helped raise were Eric Eli Livingston Wilson, Jackie Don Phillips Jr.; grandchildren: Dakota Dawn Phillips Mask, Ethan, Ella Mae and Jet Henry Phillips, Garrett Wilson Dunn, Brianna Lucinda Wilson, and Robert Risenaur; too many great-grandchildren to many to name. But he loved them all. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jack Swanson (Lawanna) and Diane Roughly; and many nieces and nephews.
