V. Leenetta King, daughter of Marvin and Emily Laughlin, born November 27, 1922 in Van Buren County, IA, left this earth on Saturday, November 23, 2013. She graduated from Lockridge High School in 1940 and attended the Ottumwa Beauty Academy. Following graduation from the beauty academy she opened a beauty shop in Fairfield, IA, where she lived until moving to Oklahoma in the 1940?s.

After arriving in Oklahoma, she opened a beauty shop at 31st & Sheridan which she operated for a number of years. Her hobbies included candle making, gardening, and loving her pets. Lee loved her many lifelong friends and was quick with a smile.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister, and her loving husband, Al King. She is survived by a son, Mark and his wife, Violet of Seattle, WA.
