Obituary

Vance Anthony Vasicek, 87, of Tulsa, OK was born November 12, 1938, to Vance and Margaret Vasicek in Illinois and passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Vasicek and a granddaughter. He is survived by his daughter Shelley Sunday and her husband Bret of Tulsa, son Terry and his wife Lisa of Broken Arrow, son Dennis and his wife Julie of Broken Arrow, son Mark and his wife Jennifer of Broken Arrow, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Vance was raised in Dawson, OK and graduated from Rogers High School in 1957. Vance served in the Oklahoma National Guard where he met Russell Ward, who introduced him to his cousin, Sue Dill, who became the love of Vance's life. They married in December 1962 and together raised three boys.

Vance was taken under the wing of his stepfather, Fred Bogan, and was taught to be a painter and eventually operated his own business, Vasicek Painting Company. Vance loved sports and was a passionate golfer. In addition to accompanying his wife and family on many trips to Arkansas, Vance could often be found on the golf course. He was part of an extensive golfing community and loved playing and competing with them. Later in life, he particularly enjoyed attending the Okie Scramble in Las Vegas with his closest friends. Vance lived a long and fulfilling life. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends
