Velma Dennis Miller, 87, of Tulsa, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. She was born in Tulsa, OK to James and Vera Slavens. Velma had worked as building supervisor for Tulsa Public Schools and was a member of Eastland Assembly of God Church. She was a prayer warrior and also a a member of Woman's Ministry at Wood Lake Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed church, sewing, arts and crafts, decoupage and painting ceramics. Velma is survived by her children, Frances Earlene Boyd and husband David of Runaway Bay, TX, Carolyn Faye Galvin of Claremore, OK, Marilyn Dennis of Tulsa, OK; one grandchild, Frances Renee' Hall and husband Dave of Bakersfield, CA; three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Martin, Carlene Sheffield; and her brother, James Carl Slavens, Jr.
