Venita Christine Carnes, 56, of 5141 E. Easton St., Tulsa, OK, passed away Thursday, December 14, 1978, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK of hepatic insufficiency. She was born on October 19, 1922, to S. A. Smith and Gertrude Sansdale Smith in Stringtown, OK. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Fisher of Tulsa, OK; son, Jack Carnes of Tulsa, OK; 4 grandchildren; mother, Gertrude Smith of Tulsa, OK; 4 sisers, Mrs. Ralph (Mary Oneta) Garvin of Wagoner, OK, Mrs. Marty (Connie) artella of Arvada, CO, Mrs. Judy Graham and Mrs. Betty McCorkle, both of Tulsa, OK; brother, Doyle Smith, Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
