Obituary

Vera Maurine (Greenwood) Bain was born October 15, 1947, in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She graduated from Odessa High School with the Class of 1965. On February 18, 1967, she married the love of her life, Carol Bain, in Odessa, Texas. Together, they build a family and a lifetime of memories.

Family was always at the heart of Vera's life. She was the kind of mother and grandmother who showed up. Her children and grandchildren could count on seeing her at their activities and being part of the moments that matter. She loved her family deeply and cherished being surrounded by the people she loved. Her beloved dog, Daisy, also held a special place in her heart.

Vera was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Owasso. She enjoyed her Sunday school class. She loved the Lord and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her sisters Vena Hughes and Valera Morell and husband Randy; her son Russell Bain and wife Denise of Fr. Gibson; her daughter Becky Stowe and husband Bob of Owasso; nine grandchildren: Jeremy Armbrister and wife Valerie of Inola; Tyler Armbrister and wife Lindsey of Inola; Sloan Bain and wife Lindsey of Mounds; Megan Dunn and husband Max of Ft. Gibson; Morgan Salyer and husband Colin of Ft. Gibson; Jordan Stowe and wife Brittany of Sand Springs; Josh Stowe and wife Bethany of Bartlesville; Jonathan Stowe and wife Suzanne of Sand Springs, and Jaysie Meledeo and husband Patrick of Owasso. She also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren who will carry her Love and memories into the next generation.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol Bain; her son, Rodney Bain; her parents, Duroy Greenwood and Mildred McKenzie Greenwood: and her great-grandson, Jackson Stowe.

Vera's life was defined by the people she loved, the friendships she treasured, and the memories she made along the way. She leaves behind a family who will remember her strength, her wisdom, her familiar presence, and the many ways she showed up for them. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Graveside Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 6th at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery-Owasso, OK. Family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. at the graveside.
