Our dear mother and beloved wife passed away peacefully November 4, 2020. Verena was born in Zurich, Switzerland on March 18, 1943 to Walter and Alice Glaus. She moved to Tulsa in 1964 after meeting her husband, Orlin Woodie Hopper.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons: Orlin Woodie Hopper II with his wife Christie Engel of Denver, CO with grandchildren Lauren, Benjamin and Nicholas, and Joel JW Hopper with his wife Carolyn Davis of Arden, NC with grandchildren Sullivan, Eden and William.
We remember Verena for her kind heart, humor and her enjoyment of nature. Her fondness for her homeland and tennis led to many dear lifelong friendships. The music of her piano playing was a reminder of the beauty that is always around us if we look for it.
Viewing will be 1:00pm - 5:00pm Thursday, November 5 at Moore's Rosewood Funeral Home, 2570 South Harvard Avenue, Tulsa, OK.
Entombment will be 11:30am Friday, November 6 at the Mausoleum of Rose Hill Cemetery, 4161 East Admiral Place, Tulsa, OK.
