Obituary

Verlaine L. Butcher, 98, died peacefully Saturday February 7, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Buddy Butcher.

Mrs. Butcher was a member of Tulsa Baptist Temple. She also worked as secretary for the Akdar Shrine Temple. For the majority of her adult life, Mr. and Mrs. Butcher owned and operated Butcher Demolition and Materials in Tulsa, Ok. The grandkids have fond memories of "Granny's Junk Store", and of the many yard sales she took them to looking for treasures for the store.

Mrs. Butcher had a quick wit and a sharp mind. She could often be found working a cryptaquote or crossword puzzle, and was a dependable wealth of information

She is survived by two children: Son Dana Butcher of Hulbert, OK, daughter and son in law Dixie and Skip Carter of Hulbert, OK. Four grandkids(great grand): Angie and John Thomas (Bailee and Brooke) of Hulbert, Ok, Dr. Jennifer O'Stasik (Larkin and Heron) of Broken Arrow, Ok, Candy and Bradley Davis (Spencer and Macy) of Hackett, Ar, Corby Carter of Moore, Ok.
