Victor Duwayne Herlacher was born in Arkansas City, KS on October 25, 1936 to
his mother Ernestine Herlacher and his father Victor Cecil Herlacher.
As an infant the Herlachers moved to Pueblo, CO and it was there that Vic was
raised. He moved to CA to attend Pasadena Nazarene College and to study
chemistry. It was then that he met his future wife Ann Marie Sanner at an evening
church service at Bresee Nazarene Church. Vic attended Medical school at the
California College of Medicine and was drafted into the Navy and served 4 years
honorably, stationed at Point Mugu near Oxnard, CA. After leaving the Navy, he
returned to finish up his specialty of internal medicine. He was a recipient of the
Outstanding Young Men of America award in 1971. He practiced medicine in
Pasadena, CA for 22 years with a concentration on preventative medicine and nutrition.
As Vic was practicing medicine and raising a family, he helped to lead a Sunday
school Class at Pasadena Nazarene Church called the "Victors" class which influenced
many in their relationship with Christ.
Vic and Ann Marie began an Amway business in the 80's and experienced
significant success and made it to Diamond level recognition. Through it they were able
to speak and travel and help many people. Vic and Ann Marie had a lot of fun building
their business and treasure the relationships made.
He is survived by his loving wife Ann Marie (Sanner) Herlacher of Pasadena, CA
(recently Tulsa, OK); daughter Janice Clark and husband, Mick Clark of Granada Hills,
CA; Rick Herlacher and wife, Kristi (Brown) Herlacher of Tulsa, OK. He was preceded
in death by his daughter Cheryl Graves who was survived by her husband Bob Graves.
Victor is also survived by his eight grandchildren; Michael Clark, Rachel Passantino and
husband Shane; Josh Clark and wife Brittany; David Clark; Katlin Herlacher; Chloe
Herlacher; Luke Herlacher and Jacob Herlacher. He is also survived by his two sisters
Karen Kasel of Colorado and Linda Ham of Colorado.
Victor retired from medicine in 1994 and continued to do medical research and
to involve himself in the lives of others especially treasuring his church community of
Compass Bible Church in Aliso Viejo, CA.
Victor was a very compassionate and loving Doctor, husband, father and friend
and will be missed.
He will be buried at the National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, OK. The Lifestream of the service for Vic will begin at 9:30am Central Time, Friday morning. It also may be viewed later.
