Virginia Rose Arnot, 97, Tulsa resident, passed away February 12, 2020, in Tulsa, OK. Virginia was born October 20, 1922, to Murrel and Rose (Seltzer) Provost in Woods County, Oklahoma. She attended grade school at Keystone and graduated from Lambert High School. After graduating from Northwestern State University in Alva, OK, Virginia taught school for five years. She also served her country during WW II as an assembly worker. Virginia and Perry W. Arnot were married in 1946. She was a member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church and a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital. Virginia enjoyed sewing, reading and working with Perry in the garden. They especially enjoyed growing roses. She looked forward going to family sporting activities and also taking her family to the TU basketball and football games, where Perry was an usher. Virginia enjoyed a good mystery book, keeping up with the sport news and attending Provost family reunions. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Perry W. Arnot, in 1998; a daughter, Kim Arnot, in 1964; and a brother, Don Provost and his wife, Twyla. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Donice Stapp and her husband, Jonathon of Austin, TX and Jo Brabson and her husband, David of Tulsa, OK; a sister, Jeanne Wheeler of Norman, OK; a grandson, William Brabson of Tulsa, OK; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
