Obituary
Virginia Illingsworth, 87 years old, of Broken Arrow Oklahoma passed away on September 5, 2025. Virginia was born in Okemah, Oklahoma on September 23, 1937 to Marie and Preston (Red) Wood.
Virginia married her High School sweetheart Ken Peyton in 1956, had two children Ron Peyton and Sharon Boswell. Virginia worked at Sears for 16 years in various positions. Later she married Alec Illingsworth and they were happily married until his passing in 2018. After Sears Virginia worked as a an awarded Reservation Specialist at Avis for 20 years and additionally always enjoyed travel and flower gardening. Virginia is survived by Ron and Bonita Peyton, Sharon and Mark Boswell, grandchildren Chris and Daniel Peyton. Step Daughters Margaret Hodgson, Michelle Parker and Cheryl Ward. She was predeceased by Alec Illingsworth, parents Preston (Red) and Marie Wood, brothers Louis and Woody Wood, and sister JoHelen Pierce
Memorial services will be held at Moore Southlawn Funeral Home on September 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
