Virginia (Brown) Kallenberger, 91, died Friday, February 22, 2013, surrounded by her family. Virginia was born February 10, 1922, Kinmundy, Illinois to Ellis Elnoe ?Peck? and Mildred Melissa (Green) Brown.
After high school she attended and graduated from the Centralia Business College, and a lady way ahead of her time she worked as an administrative assistant for various companies in Centralia and Salem, Illinois. Virginia married Clint Kallenberger, June 11, 1949. Clint passed away just months before their 60th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed a great life centered around their children and their families. Later Clint and Virginia enjoyed cruises and vacationing together. Virginia is survived by sons and their wives: Paul Kallenberger and his wife, Nell, and Scott Kallenberger, his wife, Betsy, grandchildren: Alex Kallenberger, Audrey Kallenberger, Lindsay Corsini, her husband, Barrett, and Ben Kallenberger and his fiancé Kristine Armstrong. Also survived by special nephews and their families, John Day, (Meg), Kevin Day, (Lorraine), Richard Day, (Susan). The family extends a special thanks to Sherrie Harry,Shirley Armstrong and St. John Hospice, for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to John Knox Presbyterian Church or St. John Hospice. Visitation will be Monday, February 2S, 2013, 6 - 8p.m., Moore?s Southlawn Chapel. Memorial Service 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2013, John Knox Presbyterian Church.
