Virginia Lee Rawlings was born on December 27, 1926, in Tulsa, OK to Virgil L. Morgan and Sarah P. Morgan. She graduated from Webster High School in May 1945. She married Kenneth O'dell Rawlings on March 29,1948. Together they had three children, Larry, Jana and Teri.
Virginia was the middle child. She grew up with her two sisters, Wanda and Goldena Morgan. She was raised in a Christian home. Her mother and sisters walked two to three miles just to attend Trinity Baptist Church. She accepted the Lord as a 10-year-old child. She attended University Baptist and was a charter member of Memorial Baptist Church. She raised her children at White City Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK. The last forty years she was a member of First Baptist Church, Broken Arrow, OK.
Virginia worked at Precision Products, Tulsa County at Expo Square and Rediffusion Simulation. She retired years ago as a payroll clerk. She volunteered at the Little Light House, The Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, and the Tulsa County Election Board.
Virginia passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2026, at Emerald Care Center in Claremore, OK. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil L. Morgan and Sarah P. Morgan, and her sister Wanda Langley.
She is survived by her sister Goldena Lee and the late Elmo Lee; her three children and their spouses, Larry and Kathy Rawlings, of Sachse, TX; Jana and Danny Carter; Teri and Jay Bidwell, of Broken Arrow, Ok. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Angela Gardner, Kristi Landry, Dustin Carter and Ashley Bidwell; her four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Bidwell, Gracie Gardner, Brantley Gardner and Hayden Carter; and by her nephews Monte Lee of Skiatook, OK, Doug Langley, Clayton, NC and by her niece Leigh Ann Langley of Phoenix, AZ,
Viewing for Virginia will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 12:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Moore Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5111 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
