Vivian Imogene Bohannon passed away on January 4, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the
age of 96. Born October 21, 1918 to Ernest James and Lela Fawn Bogle in Pryor
Oklahoma. Vivian was married for 64 years to the love of her life, Clinton Joel
Bohannon who preceded her in death in 2005. Vivian attended Miami Junior College
and Northeastern State University. She taught school for several years and also was an
accompanist for the Physical Education Program in Tulsa Public Schools. She
volunteered at Hillcrest Hospital for many years. She was a member of the First Seventh-day
Adventist Church for 68 years where she was one of the church pianists. Vivian's
greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by
daughters, Judy Beth Bond, Longwood, Florida, Joyce Jean Carlile and husband Dennis,
Broken Arrow, Ok. and son Donald Joel Bohannon and wife Carolyn, Orlando Florida.
7 grandchildren and 10 great-children, her dear sister-in-law Erma Bohannon, many
cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Eulala Taylor and
Norma Riley. Vivian was the most wonderful, kind, gentle and loving mother and
mumsie that anyone could ask for. She was a true angel on earth. She will be forever
remembered for her close walk with her God, her deep faith, and her sincere prayers for
her family and friends. This precious and sweet lady will be greatly missed!
Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Friday, January 9, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn. Service will
be Saturday, January 10, 2:30 p.m. at the First Seventh-day Adventist Church.
