Vondal Alene LaCourse of Tulsa was born on December 14th, 1947 in Tulsa, OK, to J.E. and Delva Lewis and went to be with her Lord on April 26th, 2017 at the age of 69.

Vondal is survived by: Her husband of 45-years, James B. LaCourse; Son, John LaCourse and Daughter, Stephanie Campbell and husband Mark Campbell; Sister, Janice Reid and husband George Reid; Nephew, Kevin Reid and wife Sindy Reid; and Grandchildren, Austin Topor of Waco, TX and Kennedy Moran of Houston, TX, as well as her beloved Dog, Buddy.

Vondal is preceded in death by her parents, J.E. and Delva Lewis and her twin son, Scott Allen LaCourse.

Vondal graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene and worked for 40-years as a Dental Hygienist before retiring in recent years.

Vondal was a devoted member of Southern Hills Baptist Church where she loved to spend time singing and worshiping with her choir and Sunday school class. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading and going to movies with her husband. Vondal was also known for her ability to make the perfect brownies.

She will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew her.


Viewing will begin at 9am Sunday, 4/30/2017 with a visitation with family from 2 - 4 pm at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel; 9350 E. 51st St. Tulsa, OK
Service will be at 2pm Monday, 5/1/2017 at Southern Hills Baptist Church; 2218 E. 56th Pl., Tulsa, OK
