Wallace Ray Tipsword was spectacular. If you never knew him you missed something great. He was an ultimate gentleman from the day he was born. He attended Central High School and graduated from The University of Tulsa where he played basketball. He is predeceased by his parents Wills and Laura, brothers Howard and Frank and son-in-law Randy. For years attended The First Church of Christ Scientist i n Tulsa. World War I l B-17 tail gunner, 379th Bomb Group "The Grand Slam" airplane known as the "Blue Blazin' Blizzards of Texas". POW, recipient of the Purple Heart. Was married to the love of his life Bettye Nan for 75 years. A true go getter who still worked every day as the owner/presidentof Baird and Larkin. Survived by wife Bettye Nan, daughter Nancylu, grandaughter Randilu and her husband Brett and their children, Brooks and Brody. Grandson Stephen and his wife Meredith, and his children Haley and Harrison. To all those who knew and loved him he was known as Sonnyboy.
