Walter M. Cox, 87, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, October 8, 1935, to George Stiles Cox, III and Ellen (Macklin) Cox. Walter was a Petroleum / Geology Systems Analyst for Cities Service Company. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Tulsa, OK, where he sang in the choir, and a former member of St. Peters Episcopal Church. Walter enjoyed gardening, painting, playing various musical instruments, reading, and learning languages.

Walter is survived by his three sons, David Cox of Tulsa, OK, Edward Cox and wife, Erika, of Decatur, GA, and John Cox and wife, Elizabeth, of Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren, Gabriella Kirsner and Corwin Cox; two great-grandchildren; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Ursula Bridget (Merry) Cox; and brother, George Stiles Cox, V.
