Lt. Col. Walter G. Palmer, 87, Tulsa resident, passed away July 26, 2014 in Nashville, TN. Walter was born September 20, 1926 to Walter Bowman Palmer and Eva Louisa (Fuller) in Omaha, NE. He retired from USAF after 33 years of service and moved to Tulsa to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics. After his wife, Juliet passed in 1994, Walter attended Memphis Theological Seminary and graduated in 2000 and ordained the same year. For the next 12 years, he commuted to Greenfield, MO, ministering to Greenfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Walter is survived by 2 daughters, Juliet L. Shields of Manhattan, KS and Carolyn P. Stapleton of Fairhope, AL, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, Service 10 AM Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Interment Ft.
