September 2, 2026, at the age of 96 Parks, Arkansas. She was born the sixth child of Irish American parents on March 23, 1930, in Parks, Arkansas

Wanda Jo McCraw Holbert went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday,

Growing up in rural Arkansas, Wanda had a large and close nit extended family, most of them living no more than a "pasture away" from one another.

Following graduation from high school, Wanda and her sister (and lifelong close companion), Treva, both entered school to become registered nurses. Wanda spent her career in pediatrics, initially working in labor and delivery at what was Tulsa's St. John Medical Center. Later, she became a school nurse for Tulsa Public Schools, and it was there from which she retired. At both St. John and Tulsa Public, Wanda "most" enjoyed caring for those children who had the "least". As a school nurse, she preferred working with underprivileged children at some of Tulsa's most economically challenged schools.

It was the early 1950's when she met the man to whom she would spend the next 67 years of her life, Tom Holbert. When both eventually retired, they spent their time helping care for their young grandchildren. When not caring for grandkids, they enjoyed traveling the world together. Retirement also meant having more time to participate in local missions and ministries, many of those at Garnett Road Baptist Church.

Wanda was a talented seamstress, and this was evidenced in the many quilts she made over her lifetime. She was also an excellent cook. Her pies were not only delicious, they were also works of art!

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Elizabeth; her husband, Tom; daughter LouAnn Lawley; granddaughter Renee Dement; brothers John McCraw and Fuell McCraw; sisters Flo McGaugh, Quinn Rhoads, and Treva Lacefield.

Wanda is survived by her daughter Jill Marie Lang and her husband Stan; grandson Stephen Lang and his wife Meghan, Wanda's only great granddaughter, Everbelle Lang, and granddaughter Katelyn Lang.

Wanda (and her pies) will be missed by her family and friends.
