On August 18, 2024 Wanda Lee (Brisco) Mason, lifelong resident of Okmulgee, passed away at the age of 92 . She was born April 1, 1932 to the late Quincy Ray Brisco and Alta Lee (Shedd) Brisco. She graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1950. She was married for 45 years to her high school sweetheart, the late Marvin E. Mason Jr. They were proud parents of five daughters, Connie, Mary, Debbie, Brenda, and Cheryl. She faithfully played the church organ for 55 years. Her life revolved around her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother and stepmother Dorothy; sister Helen Louise Baldridge and husband Reverend Willis; brother Ray Brisco Sr.; nephew Ray Brisco Jr. and son-in-law Terry Ballard.
She is survived by her loving children: Connie Penn and husband Doug of Okmulgee; Mary Ballard of Okmulgee; Debbie Vaughn and husband Gene of Okmulgee; Brenda Shrum and husband Steve of Checotah; and Cheryl Corley of Okmulgee. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Chris Penn and wife Kimberly; Dusty Penn and wife Chelsea; Marty Ballard and wife Gena; Jayme Stevens and husband Jonathan; Gene Ray Vaughn; Angel Nelson; Stephanie Tankersley; Melissa Collins and husband Charles; Bradley Shrum and wife Megan; and Brent Corley. She had 25 great grandchildren; Leanna Fowler and husband Matthew; Alec Penn, Jaxon Penn, Jensen Penn, Hudson Coats, Makelti McGowan and husband Chad; Kaden Ballard, Kaitlyn Stevens, Logan Stevens, Landry Stevens, Amanda Murray, Addison Williams, Wyatt Vaughn, Jesse Nelson, Sommer Nelson, Kaylee Tankersley, Dalton Tankersley, Jacy Tankersley, Charlie Collins, Mason Collins, Christian Collins, Malia Collins, Karsyn Shrum, Kash Shrum and Matthew Corley. She had 12 great-great grandchildren Josalynn, Mila, Brooks, and Penelope Fowler; Jaxton and Huxtyn McGowan; Avalie Atencio and Lilly Guay; Walker and Hallie Nelson; Crue and Case Tankersley. Also niece Helen Raye Dixon and family.
