Wanda Ramsey, 91, of Tulsa, OK, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August, 25, 2021. She was born on Thursday, October 3, 1929, in Licking, MO, to Charles Day and Lela (Vestal) Day. Wanda was married 71 years, to the love of her life, Max Raymond Ramsey, until his passing on Monday, August 19, 2019.
Wanda, as well as Max, was very benevolent and loved helping people. She helped Max by traveling with him to transport many children to Adkar Shriners Children's Burn Centers. Raised during the Depression, Wanda was content and humble. A servant, she served in a way that her relationship with, and dependence on, Christ was evident. She was exceptionally generous to others with her time, care and love. Being a housewife was a job she took pride in, and she was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed loving and nurturing her family and enjoyed cooking for her family; especially, for the holidays. Her home was well kept, rarely leaving a task undone, and always open to family and friends. As a committed wife and mother, she prioritized her family's needs and likes above her own, and as a mother, she was present and involved. Church was of great importance to her, and she was a faithful member of Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK, where she served in many different capacities, through the years. Wanda exemplified grace and love towards everyone and in everything she did, and she had a true gift of hospitality. She valued her friendships and relationships with family, and took great pride in her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and always gave unconditional love and encouragement.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Tina Marie Townsley and husband, Lewis, of Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren, Angela Keith and Clayton Keith and wife, Crystal; five great-grandchildren, Jaden, Cadge, Camber, Croix, and Clyde; brother, Stan Day of Wagoner, OK; and a lifetime of friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max Ramsey; sister, Janet Turner; and brother, Troy Wesley Day.
