Wanda Lee (Spencer) Saddoris

Saddoris-Wanda Lee (Spencer) Saddoris, born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on July 18, 1931, died at age 82 on January 11 , 2014, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Saddoris, D.D.S. and her parents James "Leroy" and Susie (Butler) Spencer. She is survived by her sister Carolyn Jane (Spencer) Schumacher of Ojai, CA, and sisters-in-law Elizabeth Saddoris of Frisco, TX, and Gloria Saddoris of Clinton, MO; also by her nieces Margie Swagerty, Susan Voss, Lisa Crook, and Tina Saddoris; nephews, J. Michael Wise, D.D.S, Mark Morgan, Brad Saddoris, and David Saddoris. Wanda was a 1948 graduate of Highland Park High School, Dallas, TX, and attended Stephens College, the University of Oklahoma, and SMU. Wanda was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority.

Wanda was a gracious, happy lady who lived a wonderful life, enjoying an enormous circle of friends from her travels around the world with her husband while he was president of the American Dental Association. Wanda often remarked how amazing their travels were and yet how happy she was to return home, enjoying her close-knit ties in Tulsa. She enjoyed family, entertaining, bridge, her cats, and Oklahoma football. She attended New Haven United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Wanda always saw the positive in those close to her making her a joy to be with. She opened her home for her family and friends and had a warm and open heart for all.
