Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Warren Carey Fields, joined his Lord and Savior in heaven on Wednesday, June 1st, 2011. Born October 22nd, 1929 in Kiefer, OK to Bernice Reed Fields and Bert Fields. Graduated from Sapulpa High in 1947-graduating one night and enlisting in the Navy the next day. Proudly served as an Engineman 3rd class in Submarine Squadron 349 for 6 years. Married the love of his life, Ginger Magness, on August 28th, 1953. Attended NSU and then OU, where he completed his degree in Geology. He worked as a Petroleum Geologist for Cities Service in Bartlesville where he also served as Oklahoma's Little League Baseball Commissioner. On any given evening he could be found volunteering at Price Field as a devoted father and baseball lover. He and Ginger moved their four children to Tulsa in 1969 with Cities Service of Tulsa. He also owned Tiger Sporting Goods in BA for 13 years. Carey is survived by: wife, Ginger Fields of Tulsa, daughter Dee & husband Mike Schultz of Tulsa, son Jim Fields of Tulsa, son Whit & wife Dana Fields of Houston TX, & son Michael & wife Bobbie Fields of BA. Grandchildren include Jason & Sarah Schultz of Owasso, Jennifer & Dale Morrow of BA, Zach & Nikki schultz of Tulsa, Nathan, & Jake Fields of BA. Great-grandchildren include Beau Schultz of Owasso, Alexa Martin & Carter Morrow of BA, & Jack & Zane Schultz of Tulsa. Carey enjoyed Tulsa Drillers baseball, gardening, genealogy and was a die hard Sooner fan, but his greatest passion was enjoying his grand an great-grandchildren and attending their numerous sporting events and activities. The family will be accepting visitors at Moore's Eastlawn this Sunday from 4-6. Services will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 146 S. Sheridan, where he was an active member for 42 years, on Monday, June 6th at 10:00. Burial services will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with full military honors at 1:00.
