Wayne William "Bill" A'Neal, 78, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, at St. John Medical Center. Bill was born October 1, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, to Russell Albert A'Neal (pioneer aviator) and Esther Miller A'Neal. Bill graduated from Will Rogers High School, Tulsa and attended the University of Tulsa. After working for Yuba Heat Transfer and Fram, he co-founded Heat Transfer Equipment Company in Tulsa in 1974. Bill enjoyed flying Cessna's and was a lifelong member of Aircraft Owners, Pilots Association, NRA, Murrell Home, and theTrail of Tears Association. After retirement, he and his wife spent much of their time traveling across North America in their motorhome.
Bill is survived by his wife of 26 years, Michelle Chambers A'Neal; his daughter, Cathleen Coody and her husband, Rick, and their children, Travis, Caitlin and Clint; daughter, Sharon A'Neal and her partner, Greg Bishop and their daughter, Brogan; son, Stuart A'Neal, Melanie A'Neal, and their children Jordan and Parker; brother, Robert A'Neal and wife, Bonnie; many nephews and nieces; and his faithful canine companion, Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russ and Esther; sister, Marilynn A'Neal Williams, and his granddaughter, Melissa Linn Coody.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, June 26, 2014, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Funeral Home, 3612 East 91st St. So., Tulsa, OK. Burial service will be held Friday, June 27, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors Foundation and his favorite organization, Smile Train.
