BLAND, Wayne William, 82, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Broken Arrow, OK. Born July 8, 1933 in Seneca, MO to Preston R. and Ona (Borthick) Bland. His family moved to Michigan shortly after his birth and then to Kansas City, MO. He was stationed at Fort Riley, KS in the U. S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1961 with the rank of Corporal.

He met the love of his life, Barbara Jean Douglas, at International Harvester Truck Company where they both were employed. They married October 8, 1960. After leaving IHC, Wayne worked for Robling Wire Rope and later as a freight salesman for Jones Freight. He later was employed at Graves Truck Lines and retired from the sales business. He then worked for Tulsa World, finally ending his outside working career in 1995.

Wayne enjoyed attending Plainview Baptist Church and loved his church family. Wayne developed cancer in September, 2015 but now is in no more pain and is with his Lord and Savior. The family of Wayne would like to extend a "thank you" to all his family and friends for their many prayers, cards and all acts of kindness shown during Wayne's illness.
