Wayne Conley Bradshaw, beloved husband, father, and Papa, passed on to his Heavenly home Wednesday, December 5th, 2023. After his birth in Bakersfield, CA, to Herman and Dorothy on November 26th, 1939, Wayne built his life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He met the love of his life, Linda Chambers, at Will Rogers High School in 1958 where they began their decades-spanning romance. Together they attended the University of Tulsa where he played baseball and earned his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts. Linda and Wayne married on June 1, 1964, and rarely spent a day apart since.
After a remarkable 32 years with Abbott Laboratories, Wayne went on to open a gymnastics school with his wife. Tulsa World of Gymnastics opened its doors in 1976 and became one of the most successful programs in the nation. His roles and accolades are endless-a brilliant mathematician, a dedicated coach, an Oklahoma fishing legend, thriving business owner, and world traveler. However, these titles fail to describe his most important roles of all: husband, father, and Papa. Wayne loved nothing more on this planet than his family, and reminded them of his love through his final days. He passed peacefully surrounded by his children and grandchildren, while in the arms of his true love. Wayne is remembered as a kind soul who lit up every room he entered. Any strife was healed with one hug and conversation with him. He is remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him, and words cannot begin to do justice to his character.
He is celebrated and survived by life-long partner and wife Linda Bradshaw, Tina Miller and husband Allen, his son Ronald Bradshaw, his daughter, Tara Isler and husband Tony, and his six grandchildren: Olivia Meyer, Andrew Miller, Logan Bradshaw, Samantha Isler, Alexandra Bradshaw, Haley Isler and Great-grandson, Archer (Archie) Allen Meyer. Special gratitude is extended to Jacob Meyer, Joseph Edmonds, Jake Jackson, and Mary Jo and Randy Isler.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests considering a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, hoping to contribute to a future where no family has to face the challenges of this disease. Let us honor Wayne's memory by embracing kindness and generosity.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 15, 2023, at First Methodist Church, Tulsa. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
