Wayne Allen Parker was a long-time resident of Tulsa, OK. He was born January 16, 1927 in Avoca, AR and died on December 19, 2020. Wayne was a veteran of World War II and learned his trade of printing during his service in the Army. He was a founding member of Tulsa Baptist Temple, where he met his wife of 65 years. He taught Sunday School and was on several committees at the church. He owned Parker Printing in Tulsa until his retirement.
He is survived by his children Donna Parker Milliken and husband Ross Milliken, Glenda Parker Harkey, Alan Dewayne Parker and wife Lori Ann Parker. He has 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gale Ann Parker. His parents and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
He will be remembered by his smile and devotion to his family. If there was a job to do or something needed fixed, Wayne Parker was the man to call. He never backed down from a task regardless of the difficulty, from helping to remodel the kitchen at his church to changing a porch light for his kids. Wayne has always loved roses and was a member of the Tulsa Rose Society.
He will be missed, but the celebration in heaven fills the family's hearts with joy.
Graveside service is scheduled for 11 AM, Tuesday, December 21, 2020 in Sallisaw Memorial Cemetery, Sallisaw, OK.
