Wayne Foreman Woods, 93, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on April 6th, 2024.
Wayne was born in Redlands, CA on November 9, 1930, to Arthur and Lillian Woods. Wayne eventually moved to Stillwell, OK and attended Stillwell High School. He proceeded to join the Air Force and served our country proudly including in Guam and Japan shortly after World War II. He worked for over 25 years at the NASA Ames Resource Center in Moffett Field, CA before returning to Oklahoma to work in a variety of places before he retired.
He had two children Sandy and David whom he loved and cared for throughout his life. Wayne married Dortha (Parsons) Crews on December 28th, 2001. Dortha and Wayne loved each other and cared for each other over the past 23-plus years.
Wayne loved football and softball, particularly the OU Sooners, westerns, Gunsmoke, and loved his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids both from Sandy and David, but also the bonus grandkids through his marriage to Dortha. He loved being Granddad.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents William Arthur Woods & Lillian Russell Woods, his sister Euladean Worley & brother-in-law Wren Worley, his brother Don Woods and sister-in-law Wanda Woods, and his niece Sue Roye.
He is survived by his wife Dortha, daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Richard Douglas, son David & Eva Woods, 5 Grandchildren, 2.5 Great-Grandchildren (one of his last outings was to his grandaughter's gender reveal party), 3 nephews, 2 nieces, and numerous great nephews and great nieces. He is also survived by Dortha's family which includes her children Gary Crews, Judy McCoy-Crews (Darryl), Peggie and Mike Fusick, Becky and Ray Duffy, 11 Grandchildren, and 23 Great-Grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be on April 12th at 12:00 p.m. at Moore Southlawn Chape
