HAUENSTEIN, Wendel Milton, loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 4, 2014. He was 87. Born in Cincinnati, OH on April 9, 1927. Wendel is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha J. (Wise) Hauenstein; his son and daughter-in-law, Eric Alan and Melissa Hauenstein; two grandsons, Brandon Alan and Garrett Mark Hauenstein. He is preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Mabel Hauenstein; his brother, Robert Hauenstein; his son, Mark David Hauenstein; and his grandson, Jeb David Hauenstein. Wendel was a dedicated volunteer fireman with the Sharonville Fire Dept. for over 35 years. His full time occupation was a designer draftsman for Allis Chalmers, now Siemens-Allis, and also for General Electric in Cincinnati. Wendel served in the Army during the Korean War. Wendel and Martha moved to Tulsa, OK in July, 2011 to be closer to their son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his friendliness, and lighthearted conversations.
