Born July 16, 1967, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the only son of Edwin and JoAnn "Baskin" Dukes, and the Great-Great Grandson of Gilbert Wesley Dukes, who served as Chief of the Choctaws in Indian Territory (pre-Statehood Oklahoma).

Wesley attended school in Wagoner, Oklahoma (K-9), where he played Little League baseball and Pop Odem football. He and his family lived near Ft. Gibson Lake and spent a lot of time swimming, water skiing, fishing and hunting. His mom introduced him to her passion of roller skating; he was very good at it..... Every new interest was met with a drive and competitive mentality to do whatever "it" was well. He enjoyed spending time with his numerous friends playing pool, darts, golf, four wheeling, and loved to dance and sing....couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, another trait he had in common with his mom.

In 1982, the family moved to Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where Wesley attended high school, graduating the Tiger Class of 1985. He played football under his favorite coach, Charlie Cooper, all 3 years, and the team won their conference title his senior year. Wes played on the winning East team in the 1985 All-State East-West game that took place at Tulsa University stadium. He was also picked to play in the Oklahoma-Texas High School Oil Bowl game (1985), and Oklahoma won, which didn't happen very often. Football was something Wesley had in common with his Dad, who had played football and was on the 1964 Tulsa University team that won the Bluebonnet Bowl at Rice Stadium in Houston, Texas against Ole' Miss.

Following high school, Wesley attended Northeastern State University, where he played football for the NSU RedMen, and was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. Wesley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Most of his career was spent in Tulsa, Ok. He was the Bud Man, having worked for Anheuser-Busch from 1994 to 2010. He was a sales rep for Dr. Pepper/7up Snapple group at the time of his death, Tuesday, August 8, 2017.

Wesley was an avid Oklahoma Sooner's football fan and armchair coach.... BOOMER SOONER!!

The most important thing in Wesley's life was his two babies, Charleigh Jo, born in October 2009, and Ledger Wesley, born in October 2011. He would tell everyone all about their antics and accomplishments, from their first steps to their first loose tooth, and now their swimming and riding bicycles. He was so proud of every captured moment in photos and in his heart!!!!
In addition to his parents and children, Wesley is survived by his two older sisters, sister Donna Dukes and partner Mike Posey of Tulsa, Ok, and her four grown children, April (Mrs. Christian) Anniboli, and their four sons of Plano, TX; Britney Fuller of Plano, Tx; Lindsey (Mrs. Darin) VanBlaricom and their 2 1/2 children of Bella Vista, Ark; Elijah Mason of Tulsa, Ok., and sister Deborah (Greg) McDuffey and their two children, Tim and Lily, of St. Louis, Mo; also his loving partner Traci Jo (T.J.) Hamby, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom he loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Tulsa Teachers Credit Union (Any Branch) in the names of Wesley's children, Charleigh Jo Dukes, or Ledger Wesley Dukes, or April Anniboli, the aministrator of the account.
