Obituary

Wesley Allen Pitcock, 88, passed
away on Wednesday July 17, 2013.
Wesley was a native Tulsan, born
January 2, 1925 to Dalton
and Carolyn Pitcock.
He graduated from Will Rogers
High School, Class of 1943. He
served his country during WWII
as an Aviation Radio Operator and
Tall Gunner on an amphibious PBY
aircraft. Upon returning to Tulsa,
he met and married Flossie Avalon
Williams In 1947. They recently
celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
Wesley joined the Tulsa Fire Department
in 1950 and retired as a captain in
1979. He was also an Electrical Contractor
and owned Ace Electric Company.
Wesley had many interests and hobbies.
He enjoyed Tulsa University football
and basketball games, hunting, fishing,
dancing and gardening. Music was
always a big part of his life. He especially
loved playing and listening to jazz.
Wesley was a member of the
First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa.
Wesley is survived by: his wife,
Flossie Avalon and his brother,
Don Pitcock of Oakland, California
and his children, Allen Pitcock
and wife, Jan and Nancy Spitler
and husband, Ken Spitler; five
grandchildren, Wes, Jill, Collin,
Matt and Carrie; and seven greatgrandchildren.
Preceded in death
by parents and great-grandson,
Greyson Allen Pitcock. Wesley was
always a hard working provider
for his family. He was loyal and devoted
to many friends and extended family.
A memorial service will be held Saturday,
July 20, 2013, at 10:00 am at
Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel directed
by Moore?s Eastlawn Chapel,
