William L. "Bill" Legate passed away on August 29, 2018 in Tulsa, OK. He was born February 2, 1936 in Enid, OK to Robbie and Myrtle (Buchanan) Legate.

Bill graduated from Phillips University in Enid, OK and received his master's degree from the University of Iowa. Bill married the love of his life, Karen Fluman on December 20, 1962 in Enid, OK. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bristow, OK. Bill retired from hospital administration in 2001. He loved to read in his spare time, but his greatest love was traveling through the southwestern part of the United States.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Legate Turner, father, Robbie Legate, and daughter in law, Paulette Legate. Bill is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Scott Legate; daughter and son in law, Nancy and Anthony Mueller; grandchildren, Heather, Holly, Jacey, Haley and Logan, and great grandchildren Sophia, Josephine, Regan, Conner, Garrett, and Oliver.

Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
